Waving at the parade

Riding the horses with Mommy

Going down the big slide. I was so fearful & proud. My little boy climbed up all those stairs by himself. Blocking the way of half a dozen other children for some time. I was at the bottom holding my breath listening to other parents wondering what was taking their children so long (since Dade was so short they couldn't see him poking along in front of their kids). He carried a burlap sack which weighed 25% of his body weight, this definitely slowed him down a tad. When he got to the top one of the impatient children behind him helped him get on his sack and on his way. Down he slid with a calm look on his face, no terror or even exhilaration, just satisfaction. I took pictures and clapped with joy and pride.
Cute pictures! I'm glad the kids were so happy! And that you got to enjoy the parade!
