We got to meet the Smudge Fundaes in person!!!!!! So cool! We listen to all their CDs, it was fun to rub shoulders with "celebrities"

We loved the kids zone at Westerner Days. Everything was free and the building was air conditioned and there were lots of chairs for Mommy to sit on.

Dade and Matia got their faces painted every day. Matia got a butterfly each time.

Seems crazy that kids like the free indoor playground as much as the expensive fair rides, but it's true. Lucky me!

After this corn on the cob experience Dade opted for face painting that did not extend below his nose. He wasn't happy that it smudged.  They did enjoy the corn though.

So Far This Summer....

We have celebrated birthdays

We have played with our friends

We got new bunk beds

 We have played around

We have been fashion forward

We have tested the fair rides

We have enjoyed the parks and the weather

We have conquered fears

We have enjoyed a parade

 Above all we've enjoyed being together.  We are traveling around to fairs again this summer, hoping the weather is good and the vehicles hold together.  Sometimes I feel bad about dragging my kids all over the place, but then I look back at pictures like this and think, hey, we make the best of things. Here's to making more memories and good stories to share this summer.
