Did you know that if you list 2.74 things that you are thankful for each day, in one year you will have listed 1000 things. Click on this title for more about the 1000 things gift list.
This is not difficult, and I think it will be a good thing for me, so I'll be starting a list somewhere on my page. I won' t be able to post everyday, but I'll keep a hard copy in my journal and share with you all when I am able.
Join me if you like.
Thanks Miranda for connecting me to A.L.'s page. I LOVE it!

Lurking
I have strict instructions from myself to post something before I get to read other people's posts. Since we have moved to a place in the country I don't get on line much, and the time I do have I tend to spend reading the fascinating blogs on my list. They are better than books or movies, and after I read them I have nothing left to say.
I am having trouble forming my thoughts into words these days. I feel like I am truly living in the moment. I only have the energy and attention span to give to the next second. I am unable to look back or forward and form any concrete thoughts, so my blogging has halted.
So for those of you wondering about me (thanks for that by the way) here is what my moments have been filled with lately:

So for those of you wondering about me (thanks for that by the way) here is what my moments have been filled with lately:
- moving boxes and miscellaneous stuff from my living room into storage, so we can start cleaning our free Mobile home and be able to live in it before it snows (it may be too late, I think I saw snow in the air today)
- making meals, and agonizing over grocery bills and nutrition content, then making something completely fattening and expensive anyway!
- wiping noses, enough said.
- Celebrating birthdays. My dear old dad is 50 now! We had a fun time surprising him (not an easy thing to do).
- Attending playgroup AND Mom's Morning Out. I get 2 mornings a week to enjoy the company of other moms. I am very lucky, and love chatting it up. Maybe that is why I haven't been blogging much lately.
- completing company books. Ick. Somebody has to do it though.
- cleaning out our vehicles. I found our camera! Wooo Hoooo! I'll post pics next time I have access to our lap top AND the internet at the same time. It might be a while. I am extremely happy about that turn of events. I found it way way way under the driver's seat of our van.
- Kissing chubby cheeks, wiping sticky fingers, sweeping up after muddy boots, changing diapers, reading stories, getting drinks, making snacks, saying prayers, tickling tummies, washing clothes, washing dishes, vacuuming, cleaning up messes... you know... same thing that all you moms do every day.
- Reading some good, thought provoking books: Reaching for an Invisible God by Philip Yancy, Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer, When Perfect Isn't Enough by Nancy Something, and most interesting of all, One Year Bible daily readings (seriously, it's the best book I've every read, I can't believe it has taken me until now to read through the bible! but it truly is the living word, and it is changing me and my thoughts each day).
- Spending time with friends and family celebrating birthdays, going swimming, playing boardgames, going out to eat, going to church, watching movies.
- Listening to doom & gloom about the economy on the radio, and feeling strangely detached and disinterested.
- Reading other people's blogs and living vicariously through their stories.

Proverbs 31: Virtuous Woman

It is good to know Nana, a virtuous and capable lady.
She has greatly enriched the lives of her family; she is more precious than rubies.
She has shown kindness to others throughout her life.
She knows how to work with her hands and create bounty from the land alongside her father, brothers and husband.
She has cared for family, friends and farmhands even when it as difficult to do so.
She used her teaching talents to plant a fruitful legacy in her students.
Hard work is not something she shies away from; she always does her best.
Nana keeps busy reading, puzzling, thinking, remembering.
She takes time to encourage those around her with an understanding word or a listening ear.
She does not fear the future; she covers herself and her loved ones with a warm faith that has and will endure even through hard times.
From doll clothes to ornate bedspreads and pretty clothes, her talent for sewing has blessed and clothed many.
Nana's marriage to Boppa Art was a lasting example of what love looks like.
Together they collected enduring friendships and the respect of all who knew them well.
She dresses in pretty clothes and has beautiful style; her inner beauty and strength truly shine through.
She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.
She pays attention to all her friends and family and prays for them before she sleeps.
Those who know her stand and bless her.
There are many virtuous women in the world but Nana, in my mind you surpass them all.
Charm is deceptive and beauty fades; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
