Please Pray

As I was sitting and typing about my beloved three year old son and reflecting upon all his habits and achievements, Mike called me to say that a man came by his booth looking for his three year old daughter who has gone missing this evening. Just a short time ago. My prayer is that the child has already been found and it was a case of miscommunication...but sometimes that is not the case. Regardless this family needs prayers tonight. I don't know if we will even know if she was found or not. This gives me such a sick feeling in my stomach, especially when I look in on my sleeping babies and think how devastating it would be to lose one. I can't go there....

I pray that this lost child is with someone right now who is trying to reunite him with her parents.
I pray that no harm has come to this little one, and that she is not alone or frightened.
I pray for the parents that God's peace will transcend a terrifying time of searching and questioning.
I pray for the team of people helping them search, may there be great joy tonight as this little one is found and reunited with her parents.
I pray for the best outcome to this terrible event.
I pray that we could somehow know that the child has been found tonight, so we can rejoice also.
Lord, your ways are mysterious, yet I know you are good. I pray that good will result in this scary situation tonight.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

Update: We talked to a security guard tonight on our way out of the fair and asked if this girl had been found. He didn't even know there was a missing child. I'm taking this as a positive response. Every security guard has a radio, so if the girl was missing and there was a search, I think this guy would have known about it. I hope that the fact that he didn't know shows that the family found their lost child before they had time to report it to security.

  1. Ptl...I didn't even read to the end. I had to stop pray and now I can't stop tearing up. I'm so glad you put an update on the blog. I can't imagine anything worse than a child going missing. Even for a few minutes.
