My hair has been coming out in clumps all summer, just like it did each time I had my kids. It's scary because it's definitely not pregnancy related this time.
I'm trying to rationalize that everyone loses hair, the hair dresser even told me that most women lose around 150 hairs a day, which IS quite a lot when you think of it, but do all 150 come out in one handful???
Maybe I need to stop wearing pony tails, not sure if that is a cause of thinning hair or not. What am I going to do if I lose my hair in my 30s!!!!!!!!!
I know I shouldn't be so vain, it's probably nothing after all. I always have had a big forehead, but yikes! Maybe I should go find out how much a good wig costs and start saving now. Maybe I should just chill. I hear stress can cause hair loss in women, I didn't feel that I was unusually stressed out, until I started freaking out about my hair falling out that is!!
This is a silly thing to post about, but maybe if I put it out there someone will alleviate my fears somehow, or maybe they will say "ya, we've been noticing it too, but didn't want to say anything".
I wonder if Rogain really works....
I never noticed! It's probably stress... I know that I can have symptoms of being stressed without even realizing how stressed I am.
ReplyDeleteDid you read your last post??? Think it might be stress??
Is it falling out in clumps? I have heard of that happening due to stress. Are you really stressed?
ReplyDeletenot really falling out in clumps. Just handfulls. I don't know if I'm so much stressed as hormonal.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started work around 18, my hair was falling out. I was scared I was going bald. A girl at work, told me to put vaseline in my hair, because that should help it not fall out. Well, guess what. I had to book off sick the next day. I could not go to work, because my hair was so gross even after washing, and washing. My hair still falls out, like crazy. I give up, still not bald.
ReplyDeleteYou haven't had a normal summer, that's for sure. I have heard it could be stress, or hormonal. Your hair was beauiful, last time I saw you. I sure never noticed it thinning. They (whoever "they" are) say a person goes after mother, or grandmother...are they bald. Nope.
people who have thyroid problems lose hair, even on synthroid.
