I'm looking around me at the utter chaos in my house, knowing that it is up to me, and me alone to tame the wild beast that is my house. In addition to that I need to make bread (as per DH's request), clothe and feed the little ones, and some how be nice to everyone (even though I feel like Oscar the grouch today).
Here's the game plan.
- make a to do list
- lay out the kids clothes
- while kids are struggling to get dressed, mix up the bread & finish dishes
- give the kids a project to do (craft, game or movie)
- Attack the enemy (messy house) for 15 intense minutes
- Get a new activity for the kids (Outside play, play dough or different game)
- find something to make for lunch
- feed the hungry ones
- Do a load of laundry
- Around Nap time I intend to take a 30 minute break, drink coffee & stare blankly into space.
- Before nap time ends I hope to do a 2 more 15 minute attacks.
- After nap time we will be loading up the troops and heading into the city to secure a part for our beloved fridge (who has a teensy problem because of a missing part)
- As a reward for our efforts I'm hoping we will get to eat at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant.
Here it goes...
Oh yum! I hope you get to go there for supper! We went there last week and it was wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great plan you have! My favorite part is the "drink coffee and stare blankely into space" bit. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! You can do it! I seem to always be eating elephants, maybe someday we'll learn to like the taste!!
ReplyDeleteCelebrate you time at home and have some fun with the kids, the housework will always be there!
