I live in an old trailer that is going to be renovated as we are able. Sometimes it gets me down when I see other people's digs, because that ugly green monster in my head (Envy) starts making nasty comments in my ear. I know that I will not always live in a run down trailer. I know that when the renos are complete I will be happy and proud of our accomplishments. I know that I should be thankful to have a warm place to call my own.
I battle my house envy in two ways.
- by ignoring and avoiding anything to do with home improvement or furnishings or anything housey
- by trying to appreciate and enjoy the neat projects and ideas other people are doing, and filing them away in my mind for a later date.
Right now I'm having fun looking at other people's ideas and filing them away.
Here is something I think is cute and want to try someday.
