I am having trouble forming my thoughts into words these days. I feel like I am truly living in the moment. I only have the energy and attention span to give to the next second. I am unable to look back or forward and form any concrete thoughts, so my blogging has halted.
So for those of you wondering about me (thanks for that by the way) here is what my moments have been filled with lately:
- moving boxes and miscellaneous stuff from my living room into storage, so we can start cleaning our free Mobile home and be able to live in it before it snows (it may be too late, I think I saw snow in the air today)
- making meals, and agonizing over grocery bills and nutrition content, then making something completely fattening and expensive anyway!
- wiping noses, enough said.
- Celebrating birthdays. My dear old dad is 50 now! We had a fun time surprising him (not an easy thing to do).
- Attending playgroup AND Mom's Morning Out. I get 2 mornings a week to enjoy the company of other moms. I am very lucky, and love chatting it up. Maybe that is why I haven't been blogging much lately.
- completing company books. Ick. Somebody has to do it though.
- cleaning out our vehicles. I found our camera! Wooo Hoooo! I'll post pics next time I have access to our lap top AND the internet at the same time. It might be a while. I am extremely happy about that turn of events. I found it way way way under the driver's seat of our van.
- Kissing chubby cheeks, wiping sticky fingers, sweeping up after muddy boots, changing diapers, reading stories, getting drinks, making snacks, saying prayers, tickling tummies, washing clothes, washing dishes, vacuuming, cleaning up messes... you know... same thing that all you moms do every day.
- Reading some good, thought provoking books: Reaching for an Invisible God by Philip Yancy, Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer, When Perfect Isn't Enough by Nancy Something, and most interesting of all, One Year Bible daily readings (seriously, it's the best book I've every read, I can't believe it has taken me until now to read through the bible! but it truly is the living word, and it is changing me and my thoughts each day).
- Spending time with friends and family celebrating birthdays, going swimming, playing boardgames, going out to eat, going to church, watching movies.
- Listening to doom & gloom about the economy on the radio, and feeling strangely detached and disinterested.
- Reading other people's blogs and living vicariously through their stories.
So excited to read a post from you! I read Reaching for the Invisible God a while back. I really liked it. In fact, I would read it again.
ReplyDeleteSo, where is your place? Any chance of seeing you again sometime? Or scrapbooking again someday?
Great to hear what you've been up to.....had been wondering where you were! Nice to "see" you again!
